My 3 Ride or Die Pole Short Brands

My 3 Ride or Die Pole Short Brands

I don’t know if something is in the air or what, however in the past week I’ve had multiple people ask me where I buy my pole shorts. Honestly, I kinda stopped writing about it because I thought I had done it to death but obviously not ( I still need to do my Cleo short reviews too). So inspired by my beauty YouTube obsession I’ve decided to steal their “Ride or Die” makeup challenge and share my top 3 pole short brands I can’t live without. What do these 3 shorts have in common – 1. they fit me and my booty, 2. they are super cute, 3. they are all under $40. Derby Skinz Derby Skinz was the first pole wear brand I fell in love with. They have a ton of colors and lots of customizations. My favorite fabrics are the ones that have a black base to them (see the kiss print shorts) – they are less slippery and stick in place the best while moving around the pole. I love both the high-waisted No Stingz Shortz and their classic Shortz with additional rise added to make them high-waisted. *Psst* they have a Labor Day sale going on! 20% off DZ Activewear Why I love the brand:  Sizing up to 3x 6 billion fabric options Customizable rises and inseams Multiple cuts from low-rise to high-waisted Things to note: Different fabrics have very different fits, so be aware that some are stretchier than others Cleo the Hurricane A quick note I work for Cleo’s Rock N Pole, however, I genuinely love Cleo’s clothing. Learning To Pole Dance is Learning to Take Up Space

Four years into my pole dance journey and it’s hard to remember why I was ever nervous about pole dancing to begin with.

I mean I get nervous about doing specific tricks, namely ones that I might fall on my face while attempting it. I do stress about not poling enough, worry about not being good enough or working hard enough. I get butterflies for performances, etc, but that whole thing many new polers experience about being too scared to take their first class, I don’t remember that. I don’t think I took much convincing either to take my first class, my friend did it, she suggested it to me, and I gave it a shot, end of story…sorta.

You Did Not Invent That Pole Move…

You Did Not Invent That Pole Move…

Inventing a pole move this late in the game doesn’t mean much of anything. I’m not saying this to be mean, I’m saying this to liberate you. I’m pretty sure every pole dancer who has ever touched a pole has invented a move, a combo, or at the very least a variation. Also, there is 99.999999999999% chance that the move you “invented” and are now proclaiming as the *Insert Your Name Here* pole move is actually a move strippers have been doing for years. So calm it the f* down.
